Review of Our Visit - This is THE only way to do Universal. If you stay at any of the Universal hotels you automatically get front of the line access to the rides at the Universal parks. This means that you literally walk onto almost every ride! This is an incredible advantage and, in my opinion, a very good reason to spend a few more dollars to stay at an on-site Universal hotel.
Hard Rock Hotel is a fun resort and very close to Citywalk and the parks. You get a free rock music CD when you check in and the hotel is chock full of rock memorabilia. |

This hotel had great food at all the eateries which include casual as well as formal dining. You pick up the water taxi at the dock and it's just a short boat ride to the entrance to either Universal park. This resort is the closest to the parks so you can even walk. it's just around the corner.
The pool area is beautiful.
I highly recommend this hotel if you can afford it. Even if you can't, splurge and you'll have a truly unforgettable Orlando vacation.
